All-Occasion Card Making ClassIn Your Spare TimeIn this class, you will create 25 all-occasion cards (five cards of five different designs). Some card designs include: sympathy, thank you, birthday, thinking of you or blank cards for your choice of sentiment. Participants will need to bring their own adhesive like double stick tape, tape runner, or glue stick. Boiler Operator Test Prep: Special, 2C and 1CBusiness, Career & FinanceThis course focuses on low pressure steam and hot water heating boilers. It is designed to prepare students to be more informed boiler operators and gain knowledge of boilers, codes, and practices, in preparation for the State of Minnesota boiler operator's exam. Classes are six hours and a series of practice exams will be administered during class that each student may keep for review. State exam applications and affidavit forms will be provided. These must be pre-approved and pre-paid at least 15 calendar days prior to taking the State exam. Exams are offered by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry in Saint Paul on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. You can find a full schedule of exam locations and dates here. Please bring a lunch with you to class. Optional Textbook Recommended: Low Pressure Boilers, by Frederick M. Steingress & Daryl R. Walker. Some copies are available through the Scott County Library. Hall WalkingHealth & FitnessDon’t let the cooler weather damper your exercise program. Join your friends and neighbors in a safe, warm, dry environment and walk to your heart’s content. Exercise as often as you'd like. Bring water and clean, dry tennis shoes. How do I participate? Pre-registration is required. All walkers also need to obtain a hall walking badge PRIOR to walking at any of our schools. Your badge can be picked up between the hours of 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at the New Prague Area Community Education office located at 410 Central Ave North, New Prague - enter through door #1. What is the cost? $10/person/year Where do I walk? Falcon Ridge Elementary (5:30-8:00 PM), New Prague High School indoor walking track (7:00-7:30 AM & 4:00-8:00 PM) or Eagle View Elementary (5:30 PM-8:00 PM). Registration allows you access to all three schools. When do I walk? Monday-Friday when school is in session. Schools are not open for walking when other building activities are taking place, on non-school days and for weather-related closures. Children and strollers are not permitted. Non-school dates will be provided when you pick up your badge. Dates and times are subject to change based upon all school activities. No food or beverages other than water are allowed. You may sit in a chair or lay on the floor for the hypnosis part of class. Dress comfortably and bring a pillow, and blanket, sleeping bag or bean bag for additional comfort. The fee includes the class and a lifetime membership card for future reinforcement. A flash drive of the hypnosis session can be purchased from the instructor the night of the class for $15.
