Band Jump StartMusic & TheatreThis is a great way to jump start the 5th grade band experience. During Band Jump Start, incoming 5th grade band students will learn how to put together and take apart their instrument safely, how to produce their first musical sound on their instrument, and how to read music. By the end of the week, students will be able to play their first song! While participation is not required, all incoming 5th grade band instrumentalists are encouraged to attend. Behind the Wheel - Refresher SessionDriver's EdDo you need to brush up on your driving skills before you take your driving test? We can help! This is a one-hour session (about one month prior to your test) to help you gain your confidence. Behind-the-Wheel sessions are offered year-round, weather permitting, with the majority of sessions in the summer months. New Prague chooses to run our Behind-the-Wheel sessions with two students in the car. This gives students opportunities to practice driving as well as learn from observing their peers. Each car is equipped with a camera for the safety of the students and the instructor. Please note: It is recommended that students have 20 hours of supervised driving time with a parent/guardian before beginning Behind-the-Wheel. WaitlistChild's Play Theatre: Frozen Jr.Music & TheatreA story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen Jr. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen Jr. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart! Auditions take place on March 16th. Performances take place on April 24th at 4:30& 6:30pm & April 25th at 2pm. Auditions will consist of the students learning three different songs of which they will have the choice to sing in front of the directors to determine placement in roles for the show. Auditions will begin at 6 PM and students may leave when their audition is completed or they may stick around until everyone is finished. For people who register ahead of time, we can send them the music to practice prior to the audition date.Summer 2026 -

Defensive Driving 4 Hour - Online55+ Defensive DrivingSave on Your Car Insurance With Minnesota Safety Council’s Defensive Driving If you are 55 or older, save money on your car insurance premiums and become a better driver! Minnesota law requires insurance companies to offer you a 10% reduction for three years if you complete the Minnesota Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course, taught by professional, certified instructors. The course is one 4 hour session of classroom instruction - no driving or test required. You will receive a certificate of completion to provide to your insurance company. The is an online classroom - no driving or test required. Attendance for the 4 full hours is required to receive credit. Our "Try Girls Hockey" clinics at the NPACC are designed specifically for newcomers in grades K-5.We believe every girl should have the chance to fall in love with the sport. That’s why we offer a relaxed, supportive environment where the focus is on fun and basic movement. For only $15 per two-day session, we provide the hockey gear—you just bring the energy! Driver's Education - Online CourseDriver's EdNew Prague Area Community Education provides both classroom and behind-the-wheel driver's education instruction for students ages 14 and older. This Online class meets the 30-hour requirement to prepare for an instruction permit (learner's permit). Class curriculum includes presentations, videos, discussion, worksheets and interactive software. For the virtual classroom series, you must attend by logging in to the live broadcast at class time each day on a device that has the ability to be seen as well as heard for the entire class time. Please provide participant's email address during the registration process to send the meeting invite. This email needs to be accessible from the device being used. Payment covers the 30-hour Online Classroom fee and holds a place for a Behind-the-Wheel registration (you will still need to register for a specific time/date in the program as information becomes available). If you have to miss a classroom session, make-up dates will be made available to you at the first class period and can be attended for an additional fee of $29.00 per date. Students must be present at the first session. PLEASE NOTE: State law requires 30 hours of classroom to obtain your E-Card Certificate of Completion. Events and Activities for Adults with Unique AbilitiesAdults with Unique AbilitiesWe want you to join us! Register for this course to be added to our activity group list for adults with unique abilities. Most social activities and events will be scheduled on the second Monday of the month from 2:00-3:30 pm. You are encouraged to attend all that interest you. The activities will help you meet other adults in the community and build friendships that can last a lifetime. We will send out regular emails and invitations to let you know what the upcoming activities will be.
