Minnesota law requires insurance companies to offer you a 10% reduction for three years if you complete the Minnesota Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course, taught by professional, certified instructors. The course is one 4 hour session of classroom instruction - no driving or test required. You will receive a certificate of completion to provide to your insurance company. The is an online classroom - no driving or test required. Attendance for the 4 full hours is required to receive credit.
