This class is designed to increase movement, happiness and health and decrease stress. The 60 minute class will have 40 minutes of energetic dance followed by a cool down, meditation and breath work to integrate and connect us to our bodies. The music is a variety of upbeat, inspirational songs that makes our bodies want to dance and our hearts want to sing. All ages and experience levels welcome. We will be playing around with the use of drumsticks in some songs. Come for the movement, connection and the music! Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to lie or sit on and (optional) a blanket for warmth or comfort during the meditation portion. Hall WalkingHealth & FitnessDon’t let the cooler weather damper your exercise program. Join your friends and neighbors in a safe, warm, dry environment and walk to your heart’s content. Exercise as often as you'd like. Bring water and clean, dry tennis shoes. How do I participate? Pre-registration is required. All walkers also need to obtain a hall walking badge PRIOR to walking at any of our schools. Your badge can be picked up between the hours of 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at the New Prague Area Community Education office located at 410 Central Ave North, New Prague - enter through door #1. What is the cost? $10/person/year Where do I walk? Falcon Ridge Elementary (5:30-8:00 PM), New Prague High School indoor walking track (7:00-7:30 AM & 4:00-8:00 PM) or Eagle View Elementary (5:30 PM-8:00 PM). Registration allows you access to all three schools. When do I walk? Monday-Friday when school is in session. Schools are not open for walking when other building activities are taking place, on non-school days and for weather-related closures. Children and strollers are not permitted. Non-school dates will be provided when you pick up your badge. Dates and times are subject to change based upon all school activities. No food or beverages other than water are allowed. Get motivated to walk/exercise. Stop smoking, vaping/chewing tobacco without withdrawal or weight gain. Hypnosis is a relaxing experience. You may sit in a chair or lay on the floor for the hypnosis part of class. Dress comfortably and bring a pillow, and blanket, sleeping bag or bean bag for additional comfort. The fee includes the class and a lifetime membership card for future reinforcement. A flash drive of the hypnosis session can be purchased from the instructor the night of the class for $15. Pickleball Fundamentals (Beginner/Intermediate)Health & FitnessCome join the fastest growing athletic community in the US and make new friends on the court! This course is designed for beginner and intermediate pickleball players. We will briefly introduce or refresh the rules of pickleball, while focusing on fundamentals such as serves, returns, volleys, drives, drops and dinks. We will also practice strategies as well as proper court positioning. Each session will end with some play time to incorporate new skills. As part of this course, you will have a chance to work on your skills with a guest coach - a senior pro pickleball player who plays on the Buffalo Blizzards team. Plus, you will receive a free 3-month pickleball membership through community ed so you can continue playing after the class ends! Nets and pickleballs will be provided. Please bring your own paddle.
