All-Occasion Card Making ClassIn Your Spare TimeIn this class, you will create 25 all-occasion cards (five cards of five different designs). Some card designs include: sympathy, thank you, birthday, thinking of you or blank cards for your choice of sentiment. Participants will need to bring their own adhesive like double stick tape, tape runner, or glue stick. Adhesives can be found at most craft stores or you can purchase from the instructor the night of the class.Winter 2026 -
Dementia: Strategies for Communication & Support for Individuals & Their Families (Online)In Your Spare TimeThis online course describes changes in communication that happen during the early, middle, and late stages of dementia and discusses strategies for effectively communicating with individuals living with dementia. Tips for assisting people with dementia in completing activities of daily living, behavioral interventions for de-escalating dementia related behaviors, and strategies for effectively working with families will also be examined. Or maybe you listen to your favorite audiobooks, commercials, or cartoon characters and think, “I could do that!” Want to earn income using your talents from the comfort of your home? If so, then you could have what it takes to begin working as a professional Voiceover Artist. Explore the voiceover industry with your instructor, a professional, working voice actor from the voice acting training company, Voices For All, in a one-on-one, personalized, video chat setting. Landscapes of Life: The Intersection of Literature and Life ExperiencesIn Your Spare TimeAward-winning author Barbara Marshak guides attendees in how to take their own life experiences, and create a short story or essay, whether it's simply the desire to share with family and friends, or written with loftier goals in mind, such as entering writing contests or submitting for publication. Barbara is a local New Prague author with over 200 published pieces and five books. All levels of writers are welcome. In preparation for class, attendees should think about "who they see as their audience and ask, which unique story is theirs--and theirs alone--to tell?" This is your chance to bring your life stories to the printed page. Let's get started! Attendees will have the option to purchase their own copy of Barbara's newest book "Landscapes of Life: A Collection of Stories & Essays" and a small, lined notebook for note taking. Tails and Ales: Beginning Dog Obedience TrainingIn Your Spare TimeAll breeds, 5 months and older Trainer: Chris Meyer, Kaos Kennels Is your dog being left out of important events? The Kaos Trainers will help with politely walking on leash, sit, down, stay, come when called and pub manners at Giesenbräu Bier Co. All dogs must be current on the three core vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo Combination and Bordetella. Please e-mail a copy with "Tails and Ales" marked on the top to adventures@kaoskennel.com when you sign up for class. This class involves brisk walking at medium distances and quick movements - you will be on your feet for the entire class. PLEASE NOTE: No harnesses Week 1: Classes will combine for orientation WITHOUT dogs. Orientation is mandatory for class and dog safety.
