Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course

Age: Students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class. Note: there will be about 10 hours of required online coursework that needs to be completed prior to the start of class. This will be sent out to students approximately one week prior to the start of in-person training.
Learn how to prevent, protect and respond in the event of an emergency in and out of the water with the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification Course.
All lifeguarding participants must complete the required swimming skills prerequisite prior to taking the course. The prerequisite skills assessments include a swim-tread-swim and a timed event sequence.
Throughout the course, participants will learn and be evaluated on knowledge and skills related to lifeguarding, water rescues, extrications, CPR and AED and First Aid.
Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for 2 years.
