Behind the Wheel Waitlist-(Summer 2026 Only: Now-August 31, 2026)

Minnesota law requires six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction to qualify a student to take their Driver’s License test. Behind-the-Wheel sessions typically meet three to four times, in order to complete the six hours needed for each student driver in the car (New Prague takes two students in a car at a time). Behind-the-Wheel sessions are offered year round, weather permitting, with the majority of sessions in the summer months.

Erik J Auge
Erik Auge has taught Driver Education for more than 25 years. He has taught in the Eagan/Apple Valley/Rosemount district, as well as in the Inver Grove Heights/West St. Paul/ South St. Paul districts. Erik is certified in Driver Education and has a Masters degree in Teaching. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 boys.

Mr. Redetzke has been teaching driver education since 2019. He is also a social studies teacher in the Richfield school district as part of the Spanish Immersion program. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family.
