Save on Your Car Insurance with Minnesota Safety Council’s Defensive Driving

If you are 55 or older, save money on your car insurance premiums and become a better driver! Minnesota law requires insurance companies to offer you a 10% reduction for three years if you complete the Minnesota Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course, taught by professional, certified instructors. The course is one 4-hour session of classroom instruction - no driving or test required. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the class to provide to your insurance company. Effective July 1, 2024, the 4-hour defensive driving program can be taken for the initial and the refresher courses. Details here.
